About us
Life expectancy continues to increase. Today, it stands at 73.4 years for women and 70.8 for men. This figure, of course is only a broad average and does not reflect inequalities. We do have more and more opportunities to live better as we age. However, there still barriers that prevent many older adults to benefit from them : Ageism, poverty, etc…
Who we are
Geront’Up Ltd is a young company set up in the UK and led by Laurent Voiry. In spite of its young age, the company benefits from the experience of its founder with several institutions.
What we do
We foster communication between the various stakeholders of Gerontology. We feel there is a vibrant ecosystem, countless initiatives, studies, workshops of all kinds. Our objectives is not to replace or supersede all of those activities, but rather act as a platform. Through networking, our bulletin and our directory, we provide services to help stakeholders be visible.

About Laurent Voiry
Laurent Voiry, Director of Geront’Up, aged 55, is a french citizen. He lived in the UK for three years. He now works remote. Laurent graduated from the university of Southampton with a PG Certificate in Gerontology. He worked in several countries including Belgium (8 years), Germany (3 years), Switzerland (22 years). He was also active in several institutions serving older adults. Gerontology has become his main interest, his passion, so to say.
